last day of lecture for many of my classes today. I'm ending this marathon of a semester tripping on my feet and slamming into concrete as it were. really excited for summer though causebeing constrained by finals and homework and isolation while the sun is beaming and everyones happy as hell depresses me so bad. I just want to lay on a couch with many friends and watch tv. anyways it was also just now revealed to me that my operating systems professor was literally the guy that got the university of minnesota banned from contributing to linux. holy freaking plot twist no? he's been the chillest professor ive had so far as well so ill let it slide but its really blowing my mind that it was on the last day of class i had with him where this information was spilt. In other news I saw some really mind blowing shows this past weekend--both back to back no less! I feel rather spoiled and sad cause honestly i dont think ill see shows that good again for a while. Been trying to book a mostly screamo show for PCL and coming to grips with the fact that I'm basically an old ass man in this space, every band I'm hitting up is seemingly in high school?? dont really know how I feel about that but im excited for in a couple years when all these kids get really good at whatever it is they want to do. I kind of wish I started playing shows closer to their age cause I still feel kind of new to all of this. This leads me to my next thought which is bands I want to play in in the future. an idea ive been ruminating on recently so lets run through these:
